Camp Karma is an upscale primitive campground located on 42 acres in beautiful Bedford, Virginia. We offer 37 campsites with picnic tables and fire rings, including 20 AMP and 30 AMP hookups, two camping cabins furnished with cots and electricity, a Yurt, and 23 primitive tent sites.

The campground is conveniently located just 10 minutes from Smith Mountain Lake where there are great restaurants, live music, mini golf, arcade, and boating opportunities. Bedford also boasts several wineries, orchards, and scenic hikes in just a short drive to Peaks of Otter, Smith Mountain Lake State Park, and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Camp Store

Hours: 9-11 & 3-8 daily

Offering ice, cold drinks, snacks, s’mores fixins, hot coffee and tea, Koozies, cooking gadgets, stove propane, fishing rods, sunscreen, bug spray, toiletries and much more!

Rules

Pets are welcome at the campground but dogs must be kept on a leash at all times and cleaned up after

*Pets are prohibited to stay in the cabins and Yurt

Absolutely no swimming in the fishing pond

*Anyone under 15 must be accompanied by an adult at the fishing pond.

Do not bring in firewood – collect off the ground or purchase at the camp store

No public display of alcohol – keep concealed in cups or koozies

Bring all trash to the dumpster – Trash left at campsite and within the fire ring will incur a $25 charge

Camp Karma observes Virginia’s statewide Burning Law taking place between February 15-April 30. No open fires between midnight and 4pm.

Refund Policy

Cancellations 7 or more days before the first day of a reservation will receive a full refund minus booking/transaction fees and taxes if already filed. Cancellations made within 6 days of the first day of a reservation will not receive a refund. If you choose not to come due to weather or to leave early during your stay, you will not receive a refund for unused reserved nights.
